ePay, myPOS or Stripe: Which Card Payments to Choose for Your Online Store
Comparing ePay.bg, myPOS and Stripe for a WooCommerce store in Bulgaria: fees, integration, customer trust and which suits which kind of business.
Payment is the moment a visitor becomes a customer – or closes the tab. In Bulgaria cash on delivery is still very popular, but more and more people pay by card, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Which provider should you choose for your WooCommerce store?
In short: myPOS is strong for low fees with no monthly fee, Stripe for international sales and subscriptions, and ePay.bg for maximum trust among Bulgarian customers. Cash on delivery remains a must-have extra option.

Fees are based on public price lists as of October 2026 and change over time – premium, business and non-European cards cost more. Always check the current offer for your business.
myPOS – low fees for the Bulgarian market
myPOS is popular with small and mid-sized stores because there's no monthly fee and the fee for European cards is low. The same account can also run a physical POS terminal if you sell in person. There's an official WooCommerce plugin.
- Best for: Bulgarian stores with mostly local customers who want predictable costs.
- Watch out: check fees for business and non-European cards if you have such customers.
Stripe – for international sales and subscriptions
Stripe is the most flexible option: Apple Pay, Google Pay, 3D Secure, subscriptions, invoices and dozens of payment methods. The WooCommerce plugin is official and well maintained. The fee for standard European cards is around 1.5% + €0.25, and higher for cards from outside Europe.
- Best for: stores selling abroad, digital products and subscriptions.
- Example: the bilingual Wood Wonders Workshop store takes payments through Stripe because it sells to international customers.
ePay.bg – the trust of Bulgarian shoppers
ePay.bg is a brand Bulgarian shoppers have known for years. Besides cards, customers can pay from an ePay micro-account or in cash at an EasyPay office. Terms are individual, so ask for an offer.
- Best for: stores with a more cautious audience that prefers a familiar payment method.
- Watch out: the monthly fee and individual terms make costs harder to compare.
How to choose
- Where are your customers? Mostly in Bulgaria – myPOS or ePay.bg. Abroad – Stripe.
- What's your volume? At low volume the monthly fee matters; at high volume the percentage does.
- Do you need subscriptions? Then Stripe.
- Do you offer cash on delivery? Keep it – for many Bulgarians it's the main way to pay.
💡 From practice: You don't have to pick just one. "Card + cash on delivery" covers almost every customer, and WooCommerce lets you show different methods by country or order total.
